Lisa Johnson Photography Contract
By hiring Lisa Johnson Photography you are agreeing to the following:
Retainer. A $100 retainer is due at time of booking to secure the photo session. This retainer is non-refundable, but transferable. The remaining amount will be due the day of the session.
Payment. No images or products shall be provided before payment is made in full. Due to the artistic nature of custom photography all sales are final.
Cancellation. If the session is cancelled by request of Client, or Client is a no-show, the retainer will not be returned. If Client or Lisa Johnson requests to reschedule the session, Lisa Johnson and Client will make best efforts to find another suitable session date. The retainer will go towards the new session date.
Copyright. Lisa Johnson retains copyright ownership of all images. Lisa Johnson reserves the exclusive right to use the images for any purpose, including but not limited to advertising, publicity, promotions and web content.
Digital Images. High resolution, edited, digital images will be provided with no watermark. The photos provided are chosen by Lisa Johnson based on the shots that best represent the Client, photographer's style, and the technical quality of the image. Unused/unedited images will not be released to Client for any reason. If Client chooses to post images online, including social media, Client must include link to Lisa Johnson Photography’s website (www.lisajohnsonphotography.ca) to ensure copyright. It is never acceptable to re-edit or change your images in any way (i.e.filters on social media).
Print Release. Lisa Johnson grants permission to Client to make an unlimited number of prints of the images provided for personal (non-commercial) use. The images provided are licensed to Client for personal purposed only, including but not limited to: printing, copying, emailing & web publishing. This license does not include use that results in financial gain, including but not limited to: advertising, competitions, stock photography, commercial endeavours, print sale profits, or resale of any nature. You may not under any circumstances alter, edit or change images. It is recommended, but not required, to get prints done through Lisa Johnson Photography's affiliated professional lab. Client is free to print photos wherever they choose. Lisa Johnson is not responsible for printing errors or for quality of prints or products.
Failure to Perform. If Lisa Johnson cannot perform this Agreement due to a fire or other casualty, injury, illness or other cause beyond the control of the parties, then Lisa Johnson shall return payment to Client but shall have no further liability with respect to this contract. This limitation on liability shall also apply in the event that photographic materials are damaged in processing, lost through camera or media malfunction, or otherwise lost or damaged without fault on the part of the photographer. The Client releases Lisa Johnson from all liabilities, injuries, claims and damages that may result from any accidents or incidents that may happen during the session.
Archive. All session photos will be archived after 2 months of becoming available for download. An unarchiving fee of $30 will be incurred if Client requires access to these photos after this time, if they are still available.
SICKNESS PROTOCOLS FOR STUDIO SESSIONS
If any member of Client's household or Lisa Johnson is sick (sneezing, cough, fever, etc.) the session will be rescheduled to a date that everyone is well. There will be no fee to reschedule.
